Re: Julio
One year ago today, we lost our brother and dear friend Julio Buenano. Since that time, not a day has passed where he wasn’t present in our thoughts and prayers. Julio had many different roles in his life; he was a father, a son, a brother, and an amazing friend. His hands in the air, smile on my face approach to life attracted people to him instantly, and his energy and kind heart allowed him to amass friends by the hundred, (which was quantified by the 300 people who attended his funeral). Julio introduced us to dance music. He fed us these new sounds by the truckload, he got us into the best clubs in the city, and he owned the dance floor every time! Julio gave us the confidence to pursue DJ’ing and for that we are eternally grateful.
Julio Buenano passed away at age 30. But, don’t ever feel sorry for him. In his 30 years on this planet he lived more than any of us; he traveled the world (literally), he saved lives as an emergency room nurse, he was a champion water polo player, he fathered a beautiful baby girl (Lucia), he rocked nightclubs all over South Florida as a DJ, he was the first to show up and the last to leave, and he lived every single day of his life smiling and dancing like he was on vacation. There will forever be a hole in our hearts, but fond memories and funny stories of Julio allow us to press on. If you had the opportunity to meet Julio, I’m sure you have a story about how he has positively influenced your life in some way. If you never met Julio, you can still learn from him…Live life with no regret, fill your heart with love, and dance your ass off! We will always love you brother!
LIVE. LOVE. NEVER STOP DANCING!
